Meet Ruvarashe Moyo, the first African teen to intern at the University of California Santa Cruz's Science Internship Program (SIP) in USA. This unstoppable 17 year old girl from Harare, Zimbabwe has been working on ideas and research to solve grand challenges in her community. Her work has been recognised in the Zimbabwe Science Fair, Regeneron ISEF, Africa Science Buskers Festival, and Genius Olympiad.

I was born in a small village in Nepal where there was no internet and mobile phones. A lot of questions would come to my mind when I used to see aeroplanes in the sky, TV and torch lights. I was always curious. I used to ask: How is it possible to create an aeroplane? How are these things made?It is this never ending curiosity that pushed me to start science projects when I was in 13.
